Tom Hulsey earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with a minor in finance at the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee. His career has been in technology, focusing on delivering customized technology solutions to meet business requirements. In recent years his passion has been in making the world a safer place by leveraging technology. Keeping abreast of a rapidly changing technology landscape isn’t easy, but Tom’s focus is always on what any technology provides the business. He served as Technology Chair for the North Texas ASIS Chapter and Secretary for the North Texas Crime Commission Cybercrime Committee. He is also a graduate of the FBI Citizens’ Academy, DPS Citizens’ Academy and is a member of the FBI Infragard and U.S. Secret Service North Texas Electronic Crimes Task Force.

Tom served on the advisory board for Groundwire, an organization that leverage’s the world’s technologies to connect thousands of troubled youth with the gospel of Jesus.

Tom was a professional hockey instructor in the Dallas Stars’ organization for 13 years, where he introduced the sport to hundreds of students in north Texas.

After Tom was diagnosed with prostate cancer, he turned his focus to education and advocacy. He is a Board Member of ZERO The End of Prostate Cancer and a Consumer Reviewer for the Prostate Cancer Research Program (PCRP) of the DoD’s (Department of Defense) Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP).

Tom has gone from the shock of finding out he had prostate cancer to the glory of beating it AND showing others how goal setting, commitment and tenacity helped him beat the dreaded disease.

Tom lives in Texas with his wife, Lauren.  They have two married children and two grandchildren.
